Hi friends, and welcome to day three of blogtober. If you missed the other posts, here they are:
Blogtober day 1 – 10 things you didn’t know about me
Blogtober day 2 – Best books to read in October
This post is all about our autumn bucket list as a family.
Watch films together
I like to watch a film together at the weekend if possible, my health and mobility issues mean I can’t always do physical things together so I love it when we can all sit together. With a 13, 11, and 7 year old they’re not always interested in doing things with Mum and Dad and often have more pressing things to do, but occasionally I persuade them.
Autumn walks
My husband and I love mushroom spotting this time of year and I love all the autumn leaf colours. Our dog, Archie just loves walks in general.

A few more on the list:
- Drink hot chocolate together
- Pumpkin carving
- Watch fireworks together
- Journal together
- Toast marshmallows
- Watch Hocus Pocus 2
- Make a pinecone wreath
- Play a board game
- Collect chestnuts
What are your plans this autumn? It’s a bit of fun, I won’t stress myself out if we don’t tick everything off and I’m sure there will be more we will do that isn’t on the list.

Toasting marshmallows why had I not thought of that. I do love a nice Autumn walk but this is daily as I have dogs that insist on going out no matter what the weather
What a great list.
I think we will be doing plenty of these things. Hocus Pocus 2 is brilliant. I loved it just as much as the first. x
That mushroom looks amazing. Enjoy your walks. I am planning to make a s’more skillet bake. I made a different version another year and my kids loved it. It is just so much sweetness that I only made it once. This is a good time to try the updated version as a treat for all of us.
Great list! Several of these are on mine as well. Walking in the woods a bit as the leaves turn and toasting marshmallows are big ones for me, too.
These are such fun activities! I love to walk, journal and craft. Never made a pinecone wreath though.
Great mushroom find! There are some amazing ones, especially at this time of year, aren’t they? Your bucket list sounds lovely. Have a wonderful autumn, ticking some off xxx
I love autumn walks! Great list.
You’ve just reminded me about collecting chestnuts. I used to LOVE going chestnut picking when I was younger,
We’d get hundreds of them and share with friends and neighbours :o)
