How To Make Halloween Floam Slime

I’ve not always been a fan of messy play, I hate the time it takes to set up, the few minutes playing and then the cleanup! So I was maybe regretting my life choices when I agreed to make Halloween floam slime with my 9 year old daughter. I don’t know what it is about slime that they love? I thought I’d do the easy way and buy kits with all I needed in it. You can make your own slime several ways. The one I’m showing you here is called Floam. It has it’s base in slime and then you add little foam balls to make a stiffer, crunchier slime.

Making the slime base

Now I did the cheats version, I bought a kit with exactly the right ingredients, so you just tip them in the bowl together. The kit comes with enough to make two batches, plus some different colour glitter glues. Phoebe wanted to add some glitter, but once we added the floam ingredients you couldn’t see the glitter that much so I’d save that for making glitter slime. After we had made the basic slime, I used this slime kit and accessories. We used all the different coloured foam balls and mixed it in with the slime we made.

Then, we added different bits from the craft kit to make it super Halloween-y. I was worried the slime would be messy and although it is – it sticks to your hands – it self cleans on your surface. It turned out really well, and I’d do it again. I’d recommend the Halloween slime kit because you get so much with it and you can use it for all sorts of different Halloween crafts. With trick or treat pretty much off the menu, we’re doing different activities and having a family Halloween zoom party instead. Here’s the slime in all it’s glory:
