It’s another Monday! How are you doing? I’ve had ups and downs this week but I’m focusing on the positives today. Here’s what happened for the better this last week.
I got paid
January, the longest and leanest month of the year is over and payday has been, yay! It’s also been a good week business wise, so I’m entering the month feeling good financially.
We’ve had builders round
Last week you might remember I said we were ready to get quotes from builders, well we’ve had one round already and it seems positive we’ll be able to start in the spring as we’d hoped. One company isn’t free until September which was disappointing, but others can accomodate us which is good. Next up, the quotes will come in which we are hoping fit our budget.
We haven’t killed each other yet in home school
We are homeschooling in the loosest sense of the word, William has virtual live school, the others it’s a bit hit and miss how much we do, but we’ve made it through another week unscathed and it’s only two weeks until half term.
A way out of lockdown
I can see a way out, I know schools aren’t likely to go back until March but it’s looking positive. The figures are going in the right direction and more and more people are being vaccinated.
My in-laws had the vaccine
My Mum and Dad in law both had their vaccines yesterday, I’m so pleased. Maybe we can see them all soon.
I actually socialised
Mr L and I had a pirate themed murder mystery party via Zoom on Saturday night, complete with cocktails that packed a punch! I only had two but I felt a bit tipsy and knew I’d had a drink the next day. It was great to see friends albeit online only and we had fun playing the characters. I was Mum de Kegg, widow to the deceased.
