I’m not very mushy when it comes to my relationship. I should be – I love hallmark movies (particularly at Christmas), dating shows and matchmaking friends. I just love it when love blossoms and people get together. I love Disney, fairy tales and weddings. When it comes to my own I think reality gets in the way. We’ve seen each other on the toilet, at our worst and our best, we’ve annoyed each other and loved each other but it all balances out. It’s not to say I don’t feel romantic towards him because I do, we’re very much in love. If he started out pouring his love and being all sentimental I’d wonder what was wrong with him!
We got married back in April 2005, so we’ve been married nearly 16 years, and together for 18 years which is practically a lifetime. We’ve been through so much together, we had our first child, lost our first child, went through IVF then had three children and all that comes with it. We’ve had our wobbles but came out stronger for it. They say when you go through a trauma together you either split up or become stronger. Luckily we became stronger and now I can’t imagine life without him. It’s just us together, there’s no question. We can still admire other people, but we know we will stay faithful.

Glad you had the stronger option.
What a time you have both been through, losing a child is heartbreaking I lost 8 when trying for our Daughter and it is something that either makes or breaks a relationship. I am so glad you got to have your three amazing children
You both been through so much. I am so sorry for your loss.
I’m so glad you guys came through everything stronger. You look perfect together 🙂 #Blogtober
I’m so glad you and your husband came out of the trauma of losing your child stronger. We also went through a lot and I totally agree we’ll (hopefully) stay together for life.
Sounds like a lovely relationship that really supports each other to go through all of that.
hahaha! My fella and I are the same. We’re not all about the lovey dovey stuff. I think if my fella started being sentimental I would worry. lol
That’s so true. Going through a trauma either makes or breaks a relationship. I’m glad everything worked out for you and your husband x
A lovely couple, I know, what you mean about the lovey dovey, if Asa starts trying to be overly romantic, I immediately ask what he’s done wrong or what does he need!!
So glad that the traumatic parts didn’t tear you apart, but made you stronger x
This is so relatable. Been with my husband 18 years too. Life is definitely a rollercoaster ride! <3
